This week, retired Correction Officer Samuel Perry was laid to rest, as family, friends, and members of the correction community gathered to pay their final respects. With more than four decades of service to the New York City Department of Correction, CO Perry left a lasting mark on this Department, one that continues through the Samuel Perry Building on Rikers Island.
COBA joins the Perry family and all those who knew him in honoring his remarkable life and service. His contributions to this Department will remain part of its history, and his legacy will continue for generations to come. May CO Perry rest in peace
