One year ago today, we lost Correction Officer Robert H. Boom Jr., a 13 year veteran who served AMKC and OBCC with pride, purpose, and a smile that lit up every post.
CO Boom wasn’t just a colleague. He was a mentor, a teammate, and a true reflection of what it means to wear this uniform with honor. This week, a Japanese Maple Tree was planted in front of OBCC in his memory a quiet reminder of the peace he brought to those around him and the legacy he left behind.
His impact lives on in every officer he helped guide, every shift he stood tall for, and every life he touched along the way.
