COBA took action on behalf of our members at the Rose M. Singer Center after unsafe conditions were reported through a PESH complaint. As a result, the New York State Department of Labor issued a serious violation citing hazardous walking surfaces that posed a risk to our correction officers.
This is what advocacy looks like.
When members speak up, COBA follows through to demand safer working conditions. We will continue to keep you updated as this situation gets resolved. Your safety matters!
