COBA LAUNCHES NEW MEDIA CAMPAIGN TO SECURE A NEW CONTRACT FOR NYC’S BOLDEST
New York City Correction Officers are overworked, understaffed, and underpaid. Our essential first responders continue to face unprecedented challenges. Major staffing shortages have jeopardized safety and security for everyone in New York City’s jails. Correction Officers sometimes work 24 hour shifts without meals and rest, and sometimes have to sleep in their cars before driving home. These courageous men and women continue to keep the public safe from New York’s most dangerous criminals. Correction Officers are overworked, understaffed, underpaid, and we deserve a contract that reflects the sacrifices and essential services in keeping New York City safe.
